Download PDF here Sara Tindley's third album "TIME", produced by Chris Parkinson (The Yearlings) at their South Australian studio, burst from the starting gate in September 2011. First to acknowledge the quality of the work was Lucky Oceans, featuring "TIME" on his much-loved Radio National show the"Daily Planet". Extensive touring in Sara's little Mazda buzz box (how did an upright bass and three people fit in there?) helped spread the word of this long awaited release. Radio picked up "Golden" from the album, and it got to #6 place on Amraps "air it" chart. Before she knew it, Sara was packing her bags for the USA, as she had been invited to an official showcase at the 24th International Folk Alliance in Memphis Tenneesee. Driving on the wrong side of the road with musical companions The Yearlings, Sara then headed to Nashville for a show at the famous Bluebird Cafe. To sit "in the round" in this iconic venue that has seen Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, Lucinda Williams, John Prine and many many more grace the stage, has been a career highlight for Sara. From Nashville, Sara and The Yearlings had to outrun a tornado to get their "Moonlight on the Mountain" show in Birmingham Alabamba. Luckily they arrived safe and sound. Back in Australia for just a couple of days, it was off to Melbourne for the Brunswick Music Festival and a couple of regional Victoria shows. The momentum of this release keeps building, with the placement of the beautiful song "Little birds" being featured recently on "Packed to the Rafters". Sara and her band continue to take their heartfelt distinctive country-inflected music to the people, playing halls, festivals, and pubs throughout Australia. REVIEWS of "TIME" "Rootsy, folky, melodic, rambling…..there is something distinctly unique in Sara Tindley's style. Sara is a storyteller of the highest order and all of the songs have their own life lessons to tell." – Lou Falco READINGS "A beautifully stripped-down affair, mostly, with subtle instrumentation leaving the intoxicating, melancholy tone of the songwriter to shine through. That voice sits somewhere between Lucinda Wiliams brighter moods, and the sweeter, fragile beauty of Natalie Merchant." – 4 stars, Iain Shedden, The Australian "..Tindley sings with such touching sincerity and honesty she deserves to stand alongside Kasey Chambers as Australia's best female country singer." – Bruce Elder, The Age "An easy-rolling, country-inflected album that doesn't shy away from some of life's darker aspects." – Lucky Oceans "Daily Planet" Radio National "..pure, affecting, honest and intuitive Australian country songs. That are, once again, stuck in my head for the foreseeable future." – Martin Jones, Rhythms "If you are looking for an album loaded with love, musical beauty and poignant life lessons you won't go wrong with "Time". – Les Thomas, unpaved.com.au
